Brief Itinerary

 

Day 1: – Manali to Jorbi by Vehicle and trek to Chika.

Day 2: – Chika to Balu ka Ghera.

Day 3: – Balu ka Gera to Hampta Pass and back to Balu ka Gera

Day 4: – Balu ka Gera to Jorbi and back to Manali by Vehicle.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Manali to Jorbi by Vehicle and trek to Chika.

All the tourists will be reaching Manali which is also known as the paradise of India by afternoon. Many types of transportation facilities buses and cars are available for you to reach Manali. In Himachal Pradesh Kullu and Manali are the too small towns which are located very close to each other. Both the places are visited at the same time by all the tourists. As soon as you reach Manali you will take rest in the provided lodge or hotels. This place is famous for good food and weather. The people over here are you helping nature. After having a delicious lunch at any restaurant,

You can start your journey for today towards Chika. It is situated 10,250 feet about the sea level. All along the way, you will be able to see a very famous temple which is known as the origin of small hot spring. This temple is called Vashisht temple. According to beliefs the spring is holy water. This place is just 3 kilometers away from Manali. If you are going by a cab, then there is an intermediate destination called Johari.

You can also visit many small villages, which is the covered with snow one of these villages name, is Prerni. Trekking along the roads of Himachal Pradesh is a very delightful scene, and you will have your lifetime experience over here. It is known for its hill station and its beauty of it. While you will be travelling to reach Jobri, you can see the roads are dividing, and there is an altitude gain. Jobri is nothing but a place where all the temporary workers have set up their houses. All the workers working a hydro power plant which is located nearby. From this place, your actual trek starts. There is a manmade bridge made up of concrete what is supposed to be crossed by you. After crossing the bridge, keep yourself to the left, and it will take you the forest having coniferous trees.

 

The geography of this place doesn’t allow any other kind of trees to grow because of snow. After you have your final crossing Aleonallah, you will reach beautiful meadow, having full of greenery. The grasses on the meadows are evenly spread giving you a nice glimpse of the scenery. You will not have to worry to travel this place as the terrain is flat. After travelling for 2 to 3 hours in the same direction, you’ll reach the final destination for the day-Chikka. You will be camping beside the stream of water and you can spot very beautiful site of the waterfall from the camping area.

Day 02: Chika to Balu ka Ghera

After having a good tight sleep, have the healthiest breakfast and get ready to continue your trek. For today, your destination will be BhalukaGhera. This place is famous for brown bears and hence the name of this place stands on them. During winters, all the brown bears come over here and hibernate. As you continue to travel in the same direction, you can see a bridge, which is made up of logs.

It is necessary to cross the bridge with caution. Just after crossing the bridge you will be able to view a stream in which water is flowing in a very high speed. You should keep yourself left to reach the destination. After a point of time, you will face some attitude to come across.

Many different varieties of flowers can be seen all the way. After some time again you will again see a stream of water flowing. It is recommended to cross the stream on the morning itself as that time the water current is slow and steady as compared to the later time of the day.

Again you will need to keep yourself left till you do not reach your campsite for the day. Totally you will travel about 8 kilometers, and it will take approximately 4 to 5 hours to cross so much distance. Take some rest in the camp and enjoy the scenic beauty down there.

Day 03: Balu ka Gera to Hampta Pass and back to Balu ka Gera

It is very important for you to start little early for the trekking today. Keep yourself left of the valley which you will travel full day. It totally depends on the time of trekking but sometimes if you look back all you can see is some snow bridges. Maintaining left is the ultimate object in this trek, and you will keep it till you reach Hampta pass. Trekking in Hampta pass just drives you crazy as it is one of the most fabulous experiences you can have. It has so much natural beauty that cannot be explained in words. It is a perfect location to click some fabulous pictures. Stalls are provided on the way where you can take some rest. About 14000 feet above the sea level is Lahaul which you will reach after leaving behind Hampta Pass.

 

There will be a surprising element waiting for you. There you can view a field full of snow, and it is covered for almost the entire year. The trekking is not that difficult as the altitude is moderate, but the last bridge to cross will take some of your efforts. The climb is very steep and may be little difficult for your legs. As you complete the climb, it will follow a huge descent.

After reaching to hampta stay and enjoy the beauty of the pass. After some time we will be coming back to Balu ka Gera and have good meals and stay there.

Day 4:- Balu ka Gera to Jorbi and back to Manali by Vehicle.

 

Get up soon and have your breakfast. Get ready for the trek back to Jorbi. From Jorbi take the vehicle and reach back to Manali. You will be reaching back to Manali and end the journey with lots of memories.

Note: Normally we expect to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you don’t want to carry your backpack so you can give it to porter/Mules, but you have to informe us in advance and have to pay Rs.300/- extra per day per bag.

Paying the Trek/ Adventure activity fee:

The fee can be paid by online transfer/check deposit/ demand draft. Instruction for payment will be forwarded along with your confirmation email.

When your transfer is done, please e-mail us a confirmation mail with your transfer details, so that we can follow up your reservation efficiently.

When to book:

It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. However, if you want a good deal on your domestic/international flight, we recommend organising your trip at least five months in advance. (Please contact us if you require a late booking)

In the event of cancellation of trek/adventure activity services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: –

The Company reserves the right to:

 

  • Take the booking for the group tour and individual tour.
  • Cancel bookings even after the acceptance of the payment without assigning any reason. In this case the company shall refund the money to the guest.
  • Dismiss any guest from the tour for misbehavior especially if it affects the group and Physical or verbal assault to the Tour Manager.
  • Withdraw discounts at any point of time.
  • Change the routing of Air Travel.
  • Change hotel and/tour programmed due to unavoidable circumstances.

How to Reach

By Air :-

Bhuntar, which is 52 km away from Manali, is the nearest airport. Taxi services are available from Bhuntar to Manali, which costs about Rs. 700- Rs1000. Bhuntar is well connected to Delhi by air. The airliners that take you to this Airport are Indian Airlines, Kingfisher airlines, MDLR Airlines and Jagson Airlines, operating flights from Delhi and Chandigarh to Kullu.

By Road:-

Manali is well connected to Delhi. Take an overnight bus from Delhi and you will reach Manali in 12 – 14 hours. Tickets can be booked online at www.redbus.in or www.hrtc.gov.in . Tip: Since Delhi Manali is a long journey most Volvo private buses leave Delhi between 5 pm and 6 pm. The last govt bus leaves at 8.30 pm from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Manali to Delhi

Like the onward journey, buses leave from Manali to Delhi between 4 and 5 p.m. Your tentative arrival at Delhi may be anywhere between 6 a.m and 10 a.m. Plan your onward journeys only post noon giving enough buffer for bus delays.
